Jargon Watch: Credit crunch price

Reading Time: < 1 minute

From Wadds blog asking for the ‘credit crunch price’: a key word that lets them know you know that’s things are different and the price they quote isn’t the real-world market value of the product or services they are offering.

In the words of our Stephen:

Question every cost. Be professional, don’t take the piss, but be prepared to go elsewhere if you get knocked back.

Cheers Ged. You also need to deal with someone that has the authority to discount. This tactic isn’t going to work in high street retailers, or supermarkets, but it will work in independent stores, markets and hotels etc, or almost anywhere where you’re buying multiple items.
