Starbucks red cup season disappoints

Starbucks Christmas menu is something that I look forward to. Its a harbinger of the Christmas season for me here in London. One of the traditions that that I have is a competition with my friend Nadia over which of us will get the first eggnog latte. Unfortunately this year, this tradition will be broken because Starbucks aren’t doing an eggnog latte. I can understand the business imperative, they won’t have to carry as much seasonal inventory, but I have to admit, I am more than a little disappointed.

There is even a Facebook group to join: What no EGGNOG LATTE at Starbucks this Christmas?!!! and this one (I think started by Ashley Norris of Shiny Media / Shiny Red fame) Bring back the Starbucks Egg Nog Latte now!!!

Sorry to disagree, I had one a few years ago – delicious for about 3 gulps, after that it felt like drinking liquid lard – most had to go in the bin :) Dark cherry latté could be a go-er, but I’m more of a Caffè Nero man myself: I don’t think they do any Christmasy drinks at all though.
