I like: McDonald’s beverage cup lid

The McDonald’s beverage cup lid is something that we see everyday and ignore. I realised this evening whilst I stared at my coffee cup that it is also an awesome piece of information architecture.

It clearly shows:

• A warning that the beverage is hot
• The type of beverage
• Instructions on how to make the cup into a travel mug
