Theatreland in London’s west end is usually frequented by people out of town. There are a plethora of restaurants that provide pre-theatre deals providing mediocre food at London prices to the unwary.
Boulevard Brasserie is a pleasant change from the ‘tourist farms’ in the area. It does what it says on the tin: an informal restaurant providing reasonably priced European food opposite the Covent Garden Opera house. The restaurant isn’t exactly quiet but it does have some alcoves that provide a modicum of privacy in conversation.
Of course, one of the great things about being in the middle of Theatreland is that it is in central London; so convenient for business meetings, but likely to be avoided by many business people because it is squarely in ‘tourist farm’ territory.
