Guan Shanyue Art Museum

I got invited to the opening of an exhibition at Guan Shanyue Art Museum in Shenzhen celebrating 60 years of the People’s Republic of China.

The Guan Shanyue Art Museum is a new specially designed exhibition space. It shows how seriously China is thinking about Shenzhen as a cultural, as well as industrial power house.

Despite being the workshop of the world, Shenzhen has been planned with cultural and leisure facilities including this museum and a nearby park.
I found it fascinating as it showed how China views itself. Or at least the way the Communist Party of China want Chinese people and the outside world to see China. More Shenzhen related posts here.
