Moving on
I noticed the Tom Coates had posted on his blog for the first time in months. The post was about his leaving Yahoo!, Y!’s loss is someone else’s gain – I am sure that he can find a good position elsewhere whenever has the inclination to. What I really liked about the post is that it summarises some of the things and people that worked at Yahoo! which made it a deceptively cool company for a number of years. Fire Eagle whilst rough and raw around the edges had a nuanced smart attitude to privacy that the likes of Gowalla and Foursquare could learn from.
