My limited experience of the upgrade is that it is a progression rather than a revolution from a user perspective. The process itself went slowly but smoothly. I was concerned that the phone would ‘brick’ or lose my work email settings – like the Nokia and Palm smartphones I have had previously. It didn’t.
All my data seems to have retained intact. The first thing you notice is that some of the system application icons have had a makeover and your wallpaper now acts as a desktop backdrop as well as the lock screen image.
I am going to give the new mail client a road test over the next few days so I will have a good handle on whether I like it, am indifferent or it irritates the hell out of me.
