Proposition 8: rapid peak

Last night a federal judge in San Francisco overturned proposition 8, a California law that had been voted in by local people banning same-sex marriages. I was curious to know how the message may carry. What we see is that there was a rapid up build-up on the story, but then a surprisingly fast drop off with comparatively little discussion according to Twitter analytics tool Trendistic. Using socialmention to look at all sources, it was interesting how many people looked to comment on prop8 through image sharing tools such as Photobucket and Flickr, both of which ranked higher than Twitter.
