This post is just for Becky

Gratuitous post for our Becky who was dancing around in the office to this recently. Still conflicted about whether a masterpiece should be altered or revamped.

State of the ‘net presentation

Mary Meeker and her team at Morgan Stanley were famous for their data-heavy state-of-the-internet presentations. Despite the fact that Mary has now moved to a venture capital company the presentation tradition lives on. The age of the coupon | 网络营销优惠券

This tweet by veteran urban music promoter and radio presenter Tim Westwood just gives you an idea of how ingrained coupons have become to UK consumers. It does beg the question, at some point, will consumers eventually tire of deals and discounts as a ‘special’ and expect them as a hygiene factor?

What I’d like to see in the new iPhone | 新iPhone设计

I don’t want more fancy features at the moment, and a dual-SIM device isn’t likely to go down well with Apple’s carrier partners, but I would like a decent battery life.

I like: Swiss International Air Lines aircraft trolley | 伟大的设计

These aluminium cabinets are more familiar running up and down the aisle of an aircraft dispensing food, drink or duty-free. Rather than scrapping old ones, they are repaired and repainted in red, black or white and sold on to consumers through the airline’s online shop. At almost 17KG they are surprisingly heavy but I expect [...]

I like: Otrivine tube train advert

A really simple execution by OTC medicine Otrivine that I saw on a Jubilee train carriage. It’s a nice play on the London tube map which catches the eye.

Tate Modern: Gabriel Orozco exhibition | 设计糟糕的标志

I spent some time at the Tate Modern with Stephen and went to have a look at the Gabriel Orozco exhibition. Gabriel Orozco is a Mexican artist whose principal crime was to slice a Citroen DS down the middle to come up with a single seater car. I would like to have told you more [...]
