Years ago one of the most feared social experience was sitting through a slideshow of a neighbour’s holiday snaps. The more I thought about it, the more I can’t help but wonder if the Facebook-powered resort on Ibiza isn’t the gen-y equivalent to the slideshow of death? The Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel allows consumers to life-cast their holiday to everyone who is stuck in the office/college/workplace.

This strikes me as extraordinarily foolish and cruel all at the same time. It does however seem like the kind of thing that a PR agency would come up with, throwing together a series of favourite tabloid ingredients and popping them in a blender for media consumption. The hotel is part of a larger group and the socialising of the resort was done by Dutch agency Dorst & Lesser.
