Silicon Valley mobile eco-system panel discussion

Interesting US-oriented panel discussion on mobile services featuring Foursquare, ngmoco part of Japanese gaming group DeNA, Mobclix mobile advertising exchange, GroupOn and Bionic Panda Games (Android game firm).

It was interesting that all the panelists used an iPhone, but also had Android devices for testing. Roaming outside the US required another handset for many of them because of Verizon’s hammerlock on US business users.

I found the divergent use cases for tablets interesting because it indicates how much things are in flux, my favourite was Michael Shim’s description of the iPad as a device for people too lazy to fire a laptop up.
