Jargon Watch: Micro-Labor

Micro-labor are small tasks that have been bundled into a marketplace; whether it is click working via Amazon’s Mechanical Turk or small household tasks like picking up shopping messages or mowing the lawn. This has moved beyond the purview of neighbourhood kids to adults who are trying to make ends meet. The cost of the job is usually priced by a Dutch auction – where the lowest bid wins.
