George Lois is most famous for the decade he spent as an art director at Esquire. He started inhouse at CBS, then agency side at DDB. George Lois founded Papert Koenig Lois and Lois Holland Callaway. The concept of the big idea is reputedly something George Lois came up with. As was ‘I want my MTV’.
