Trying to get ahead of the Curve

The age of the infographic as a major communications vehicle is upon us is upon us and designer’s resource Getty Image looks as if they are trying re-position themselves in a more strategic light. It is apparently a mix of content and case studies from major league clients. Each issue focuses on a different sector.

It’s likely to have good stuff in there, but I couldn’t honestly tell you, I registered for access but I suspect you then are manually approved. So Getty Images are likely to be using it as a direct sales tool as well.

The content is available as a PDF and an iPad application. The iPad application makes me think that this isn’t necessarily aimed at designers, but the purchasers of design as iPad are pretty thin amongst the designers I know, versus the marketers that either have one or lust after the device.
