Interesting clip by a young Singaporean living in Hong Kong. I don’t think that the issues highlighted are specifically about Hong Kong but instead something that is endemic throughout the developed world in terms of gender messages and advertising.

In the UK, there is now a corresponding aspect to it where men are portrayed as sex objects, buffoons or useless wasters: the long-running BT adverts being a case in point.  Funnily enough this is the kind of audience that men’s magazines aim their content at, which is probably why their circulation is in freefall.
