Oprah Time: Hine & Kane’s The Bulletproof Coffin

Whilst reflecting on The Bulletproof Coffin, I realised that I seem to have a thing at the moment for things that puncture the comic book canon. Whilst Garth Ennis’ The Boys series of graphic novels punctures the hero mythology, The Bulletproof Coffin takes aim at the modern comic book industry itself.

The artwork harks back to comics of the 1950s like that of Jack Kirby with a punk aesthetic.
