Korea: the public space | 韩国:公共空间

One of the things that I immediately noticed about Korea was how shops and businesses moved into the public space. From inflatable signs like this karaoke sign.

Merchandise was set outside in a similar way to inside the store and waterproof loudspeakers broadcast muzak and commercial techno on to the street. The boundary between the outside and the inside becomes blurred as the shop follows you out the door and then gradually fades into the distance as you walk away.
